How does the live location tracking work?
Roam Tags are the first pet tracker to utilize Apple Find my for live location tracking.
As long as your tag is within 200 feet of any of the 1.8+ billion iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches and Macs across the world, your tag will be tracked!
Think of it this way.. if you live in a neighborhood, almost every home has an Apple product that can connect to your Roam Tag.
When your dog gets out, their location is always tracked throughout the neighborhood, since there are Apple products everywhere.
So while the tracking can go up to 200 feet from a single device, the range is actually much larger.
A recent study found that the majority of all lost dogs are found less than a mile from their home. That's what makes Roam Tag the perfect tracker for your dog - it has everything you need, with no expensive subscription fees!
How are Roam Tags powered?
Roam Tags are battery powered and utilize the same batteries found in Air Tags (CR2032) that last for up to 6 months or longer.
CR2032 batteries can be found at any local convenience store for when you need to replace your battery. No charging needed!
