Is there a monthly subscription fee ?

No! There are no subscriptions or hidden fees! Buy your tag once, buy for life. 

Does it work for cats too?

Can you ship overnight?

We offer overnight UPS shipping for US customers. This option is available at checkout.

Who can see what's on my pet profile?

Anyone who scans your tag will be able to pull up your pets information and your contact information. 

We also have an optional privacy feature - at anytime you can hide your or your pets information with the click of a button.

What is the size/weight of a Roam Tag?

Roam tags are one the smallest dog trackers on the market - they are approximately 1.3 Inch in length and width and weight approximately 1/3 of an ounce (that's the weight of 2 ping pong balls!)

Our tags are popular with smaller dogs due to their extremely small size and weight.

I just ordered my tags, when do I create my pet profiles?

Included in each package will be your tag(s) along with an insert card with all the necessary information on how to set up and activate your pets profile.

Will Roam Tag work outside of the U.S.?

Yes it will!  Our servers are active all over the world.  If your pet books a vacation to Europe, the tag can still be scanned and activated.

What payments do you accept?

We accept secure payments for customers via Credit Cards, Debit Cards & PayPal.

Do I need to charge my tag? How are Roam Tags powered?

Roam Tags are battery powered and utilize the same batteries found in Air Tags (CR2032) that last for up to 6 months or longer.

CR2032 batteries can be found at any local convenience store for when you need to replace your battery. No charging needed!

Please note that the battery included with your Roam Tag is a factory battery and will not last as long as name brand batteries.

Setting Up Your Tag

How do I set up my pet profile?

Please visit https://pet.roamtag.co/signup to set up your pet profile.

Can I track my pets location?

No, not with the Roam Tag Basic.

Can a Roam Tag be linked to multiple accounts?

Yes! You can share your tags with any of your contacts.

How do I change the battery of my tag?

Roam Tag 1.0: To change the battery, simply twist the QR code plate counter clockwise. Roam Tags use CR2032 batteries.

Roam Tag 2.0: To remove the battery, you will need to pry off the back plate, using a knife, or similar object.

How do I reset my tag?

Roam Tag 2.0: First, remove the tag from you Apple Find My account. Next, open the back cover and quickly press on the battery five times, and on the fifth press, hold for five seconds. Now you can begin pairing your tag again. If this doesn't work, please try again, ensuring your quickly pressing the battery. If it still doesn't work, try changing the battery.

Roam Tag 1.0: For tags with a button, start by checking the battery. Just press the button - if you hear a chime, you’re good! If not, go ahead and replace the battery. Next, remove the tag from your Apple Find My account. Press the button five times, holding it on the fifth press until you hear a chime. If that doesn’t do the trick, try restarting your phone and give it another shot.

How long does shipping take? Where do you ship from?

We ship from our warehouse in New Jersey. Shipping varies based on the method you choose, but typically within 1 week from ordering, from anywhere in the US, you will get your order!

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We currently ship to the UK, Australia, and Canada.

Tag Features

What information can I put on my pet profile?

The Roam Tag pet profile displays all the information necessary to get your pet home safely!

Pet profiles display the following information:

  • One or more phone numbers
  • One or more addresses
  • Health information (medication, allergies, sterilization)
  • Behavior information (good with dogs, cats, children?)
  • Provider information (vet name, vet phone number, rabies number, etc.)
  • Quick bio about your pet
Does Roam Tag beep?

Depending on what model you have, your tag may beep when it's been away from the phone it's been connected to for too long.

Are the tags waterproof?

Yes!

Can I control who sees my contact information?

The unspoken problem with traditional pet tags is that your phone number and home address are visible to unwanted eyes.

With Roam Tag, you can choose to only display your contact information on your pet's profile when you feel it is necessary.

Are there are any fees?

Nope! Roam Tags are a one time purchase. There are NO FEES!

Does the other person need a Roam Tag account to retrieve my dogs information?

No, the other person does not need to have a Roam Tag or Roam Tag profile to access your dog’s information.

Anyone can scan the tag using their phones camera.

Can I have multiple pet profiles linked to one account?

Yes you can!  You can have as many pet profiles as you’d like linked to one account.  Just log into the account and click “Add Pet”
